Jan. 12: Snow, Closures, and Oatmeal Cookies

Looking for something to do on your snow day? Make some oatmeal cookies and take lots of photos.

You surely don't need me to tell you that we're getting snow -- and a lot of it. Here are some important things for you to know about this Wednesday.

1. . From Montauk to Southampton on the South Fork, and much further west for that matter, students are having a snow day. Perhaps the snow will let up with just enough day light left for them to get out there and do some sleigh riding or snowman making.

4. So what should you do on this snow day? How about make some oatmeal cookies? Mariel Rittenhouse Goodson and Mary Anne Rittenhouse, a mother-daughter team who have a home in East Hampton and a company called Feast on the Cheap, share with their neighbors.
