Goat on a Boat Celebrates National Day of Puppetry

Head to Sag Harbor Saturday with the kids for free activities.

Sag Harbor's Goat on a Boat Puppet Theatre is taking part in the National Day of Puppetry April 27, with a morning of free activities for kids and parents.

Between 10 a.m and noon, Goat on a Boat will put on a free puppet show, teach puppet making and perform "old-timey" tunes with Grandma Lulu. There will also be a costume parade for the children.

According to the theater, Goat on a Boat is one of 50 Puppeteers of America theaters in the country that celebrate National Day of Puppetry on the fourth Saturday in April each year.

The theater is located at 4 Hampton Street in Sag Harbor, behind the Christ Episcopal Church inside the parish hall.
