Get Healthy This Fall Starting with Wellness Seminar

Fall seminar on Thursday evening kicks off Wellness Foundation's "Wellness Challenge."

Do you want to achieve "Optimum Wellness?" ’s on Thursday will focus on that very topic.

Dr. Pam Popper, an internationally recognized naturopath and expert on nutrition and health, will present a program that focusing on empowering people to live their best lives by integrating optimal nutrition, fitness and new approaches to reducing stress.

The seminar takes place in the auditorium from 7 to 9 p.m. The suggested donation is $10 at the door.

Chef Del Sroufe, author of the best-selling book Forks Over Knives: The Cookbook, the companion cookbook to the 2011 film, will also make an appearance at the program to share how he shed 200 pounds on Dr. Popper's wellness routine. He will also sign copies of his book and offer tastings.

A Q&A session with the audience will also take place. Guests will also learn how to register for the Wellness Foundation’s fall “Wellness Challenge," which begins the week of Oct. 1. A six-week program it is meant to help participants lose weight, lower cholesterol and reduce prescription drug usage through a program of eating nutritious foods.

Popper, the executive director of The Wellness Forum, is an advisory council member of the Wellness Foundation. She also serves on the Physician’s Steering Committee for the Physicians’ Committee for Responsible Medicine in Washington D.C. She is the author of several books, including Solving America’s Healthcare Crisis.”
