East Hampton Folks Head to Greenport for Maritime Festival

Members of the East End Classic Boat Society and author Nanci E. LaGarenne will be at the Maritime Festival.

If you head on over to the Maritime Festival in Greenport this weekend, you may just see some familiar faces.

The East End Classic Boat Society, based at the Community Boat Shop in Amaganset, is bringing over its raffle boat in the hopes more people will buy tickets. The Goeller Dinghy is the most complex boat the boat society members have built in the boat shop to date.

Tickets are $5 each or $20 for five. They will be available at the fair, and will be sold until the raffle.

Also, East Hampton resident Nanci E. LaGarenne, author of "Cheap Fish," will be in Greenport for a book signing. You can find her at Burton's Bookstore during the festival.
