East Hampton Fireworks Will Light Up the Sky Saturday

Set for Saturday, the East Hampton Fire Department puts on an annual display.

End the summer season with a display of lights.

The annual East Hampton Fire Department fireworks show is set for Saturday at about 8:30 p.m. In case of rain, the show will take place Sunday.

Firefighters will be taking donations as you walk onto the beach, so don't forget to reach into your pocket. Each show is based on the previous year's donations, but the department tries to put on a $30,000 show regardless.

Some rules to keep in mind: trucks, with proper permits, are allowed to drive onto the beach from Wiborg's Beach east. Only pedestrians are allowed at Georgica and Main beaches. Beach fires are not allowed on the night of the fireworks.
