Due to friday's heavy rains, The Department of Environmental Conservation has closed shellfishing in areas in East Hampton through Sunday.
The following areas are closed: Northwest Harbor, Three Mile Harbor, Accabonac Harbor, Napeague Harbor, Lake Montauk and all other creeks, bay, harbors, coves and tributaries within the Town of East Hampton.
Also closed are areas in Southampton, including, Flanders Bay, North Sea Harbor, Sag Harbor, Moriches Bay, and Shinnecock Bay and all other creeks, bay, harbors, coves and tributaries within the Town of Southampton.
