Dec. 7: 'Tis the Season for Bowling and Yoga

While the holiday season get all the attention in December, let's not forget there are other things going on around town. The East Hampton High School bowling team, which includes Bridgehampton and Pierson students, is off to a great start to their playing season and, in the spirit of the giving season, Yoga Shanti is offering a community yoga class.

2. The combined boys varsity bowling team of East Hampton-Bridgehampton-Pierson schools will take on Southampton at . The pins start getting knocked down at 3:30 p.m.

are offered at Yoga Shanti Lakashmi on Tuesdays at 6:15 p.m. Part of the Yoga Shanti Teacher Training program, free classes are offered twice a week, also on Fridays at 7:30 p.m. Donations are accepted.

4. The East End Special Education PTA (SEPTA) will hold a  at the . Starting at 7 p.m., it will focus on effective communication between families and educators, essential elements of team building and concept of communities of practice.

5. Speaking of schools, East Hampton School Board meets on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. The public is welcome attend, and they are usually quite outspoken.
