Dec. 5: Holiday Celebrations for the Entire Community Continue on Sunday

Everyone welcome to a Chanukah party at the Jewish Center in East Hampton, Lights of Love in Springs and more.

The holiday celebrations continue on Sunday. Though the religious events, the community has been invited to attend each and every one, offering each of us a chance to experience the season a little bit differently.

1. The  presents its annual  including candle-lighting and songs at 10 a.m. The light show by magician-juggler Keith Leaf is always a highlight. There will also be a raffle, face painting, arts and crafts, and  latkes & jelly doughnuts for all. The only admission is a donation of canned or boxed food items for the local food pantries.

2. Also starting at 10 a.m., the  will  celebrate the beginning of the Advent-Christmas season with "" during the Sunday morning worship service. A few carols from the Southwest have been added to the choir's repertoire.

3. The  at  is being held this afternoon from noon until 3 p.m. Refreshments will be served, knick-knacks and homemade crafts will be served, along with baked goods, and a raffle and Chinese auction will be held.

4. Victims of domestic violence, in the form of verbal, physical, or spiritual abuse, or even bullying will be the focus of a  at this afternoon. People of all faiths have been invited to attend the service to keep such victims in our thoughts during the holiday season.

5. Every year, the PTA and Springs School Improvement Society host the holiday fundraiser to benefit the scholarship fund for college bound students, at . There will be a sing-along to holiday music, hot chocolate, cider and cookies.  Tree and menorah light will honor loved ones lost, and a list of all the loved ones for whom the lights shine will be displayed at the community center during the holiday season.
