Dec. 3: Friday is Full of Must-Do Activities

The girls basketball teams starts their season and Crossroads Music goes live on the radio airwaves.

Thank god it's Friday, but before you get into your holiday activities, there's some must-see events throughout the day.

1. First, East Hampton Patch had a table at the , a networking event at , on Thursday night. We had a great time meeting everyone who stopped by our table, including Nancy Grigor of and and Michael Wudyka of the and East Hampton Studio. If you were there, please give us a shout out on our message board. We'd love to stay in touch.

2.  The East Hampton Hampton High School girls basketball teams will begin their 2010-11 season with a tournament at Southampton High School on Friday night. The varsity and junior varsity teams will play at 4 and 7 p.m. respectively.

3. "Artists For the East End", a new art group organized by Cynthia Loewen that will support environmental protection, will at on Friday. Artwork is inspired by the East End will be sold through a silent auction. Also, students from Springs School who participate in the Group for the East End's TERN program will share poetry, photo's and art work influenced by their time outdoor's with the program's environmental teachers. 

4. "" is open to the public. A live recording for WEER Public Radio will be held between 8 and 10 p.m. Hosted by Grammy Award winning Sound Engineer, Cynthia Daniels, performers will include Caroline Doctorow, Gene Casey, Light & Blue with Mariann Megna and more.  It's free to attend, but a donation for the local winter clothing drive has been suggested.
