School Board: The Amagansett School Board meets at 7:30 a.m.

School Board: The Wainscott School Board meets at 5:30 p.m.

Planning Board: The East Hampton Town Planning Board of Appeals meets at Town Hall at 6:30 p.m.

Budget Work Session: The Springs School Board of Education will hold a budget work session at 6:30 p.m.

Special Meeting: The Sag Harbor School Board will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m.

Thursday

Film Screening: The East Hampton Library will host a free film screening of "The Walking Stick," starring David Hemmings, Samantha Eggar, and Emlyn Williams. The film starts at 5 p.m. Sign up in advance at the reference desk.

Town Board: The East Hampton Town Board meets at Town Hall at 7 p.m.

Friday

Village Board: The East Hampton Village Board will meet at the Emergency Services Building at 11 a.m.

Rainbow Preschool Silent Auction & Benefit: The not-for-profit Rainbow Preschool at the Unitarian Universalist Meeting House on the Sag Harbor Turnpike will host its 8th annual Silent Auction and Fundraiser at the church from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Price: $25

"20 Under Twenty" Closing Reception: Neoteric Fine Art in Amagansett will host a closing reception for its "20 Under Twenty" exhibit from 6:30 to 10 p.m. The "Jet Set Renegades" fronted by participating artist Sam DePoto will also perform starting at 9 p.m. Refreshments will be served. Price: $10 cover

DANCE: Hippy Cool Productions, the entertainment company of East End performer and writer Lisa Bonner, is offering the alcohol-free “DANCE” for adults, 18 and over, at the Bridgehampton Community House, starting at 8 pm.Local deejay favorite DJ Twilo will provide the music. Proceeds from the event will benefit the HOM Project, an innovative rock opera preformed by East End musicians to be presented at Guild Hall this September. Price: $20

: The Springs Community Theater presents "Peter Pan," the musical, at Guild Hall in East Hampton Village at 8 p.m. Price: $15

Saturday

Seal Hike: Hikers will meet at the Montauk Point Lighthouse concession building at 9 a.m. Reservations are required. Price: $5 per adult, $3 pfor children 7 to 18, and free for children 6 & under.

Sportsmen's Expo: The second annual Sportsmen's Expo will be held on the grounds of the Amagansett Fire Department from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Exhibitors include archery & waterfowl hunting, decoy rigs, fly fishing, muzzleloading and shoguns, and much more. 

Marine Meadows Workshop: The East Hampton Trustees are hosting the second Marine Meadows event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., also at the Amagansett firehouse. Participants will work with CCE staff to weave eelgrass shoots (harvested from healthy donor meadows in local waters) into specially designed, biodegradable burlap planting discs. Once assembled, these discs will temporarily be stored at CCE’s greenhouse facility and then planted by SCUBA certified CCE Marine Program staff at carefully selected restoration sites in Napeague Harbor. These newly created marine meadows will serve as important habitat for many species of finfish and shellfish.

Open Days Program Garden Tour: Explore the private garden of Abby Jane Brody, open for self-guided tours to benefit the Garden Conservancy. No reservations required; rain or shine. A half-acre garden in a woodland setting, featuring a collection of rare and unusual flowering trees, shrubs and groundcovers, including hellebores, camellias and minor bulbs. CCOM Earth Day: The Concerned Citizens of Montauk will celebrate Earth Day on Saturday with activities all day. At 10 a.m., volunteers can pick up bags and gloves at the Montauk Movie Theatre for Montauk's annual clean-up. At 11:30 a.m., children's programs will be offered at the Montauk Playhouse. At noon, there will be a student intern guided hike of Big Reed Pond. At 2 p.m., Fort Pond Native Plants hosts a gardening survival guide. Also at 2, there is another guided hike of the walking dunes near Cyril's.

Get Ready To Get Growing: The Amagansett Library will host a gardening workshop with Renato Stafford of Homegrown. It begins at 10:30 a.m.

Art Groove: The third annual Art Groove, a presentation of 13 contemporary artists, takes place at Ashawagh Hall in Springs on Saturday and Sunday. An opening reception will be held on Saturday from 6 to 11 p.m., featuring a special performance by Out East, a fusion rock band, and also featuring DJ G-Funk’s dance mix of Motown, Disco and Hip Hop music. The exhibit is open from noon to 11 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

New Roots Of Modern Exhibit Opens: LongHouse Reserve in East Hampton opens its 2013 Season with several new exhibits. Preview them between 2 and 5 p.m. Afterwards, enjoy refreshments at a reception and meet artist and featured exhibitor Jack Youngerman and LongHouse Founder Jack Lenor Larsen from 5 to 7 p.m. Price: $10

Bits 'N Pieces Mosaics Story Time & Craft: The Amagansett Library will lead a story time and craft for kids, starting at 3:30 p.m.

Spring Fling Music Benefit: Bay Street Theatre in Sag Harbor will hold a spring benefit with the Hoodoo Loungers, Mamalee Rose and Dick Johannson at 8 p.m. Price: $15 in advance, $25 on the day of the benefit.
