ARF Rescues Five Treeing Cur Puppies

Four males and one female are up for adoption.

Five Treeing Cur puppies that were just rescued from a kill shelter in South Carolina are available for adoption at .

According to the United Kennel Club, Cur dogs were bred in rural parts of the southern United States with performance in mind. Their main purpose was for hunting and guarding.

The puppies at ARF are two months old. There are four males; Dexter, Vince, Joey, James. Their sister is Brinda.

They are all neutered, microchipped, vet checked and vaccinated for what's age appropriate.

These playful pups are full of energy, according to ARF workers. They are said to be very smart and eager to learn.

ARF said the puppies are expected to be 40 to 50 lbs when grown. The breed is agile and powerful.
