Steven Tekulsky, East Hampton's unofficial commissioner of swans, reported in that the swan he dubbed "Curley" has joined his fellow cygnet "Larry" (for its seemingly bald spot) in the hereafter. Only "Moe" survives.

"No surprise, as the mortality rate is very high here. Last year I believe there were ," he said. "Let's hope that Moe does as well."
