5 Things Happening Around East Hampton This Weekend
A volleyball game to fight cancer, STOP Day, and a Family Fun Day are among the activities around town.
Here's what happening around East Hampton this weekend. What will you be doing?
1. COACHES VS. CANCER
The East Hampton Boys volleyball team are sponsoring a fundraiser to fight cancer at the East Hampton High School gym on Friday evening at 5. Donations will be collected at the school, as well as at local businesses to support the cause. All proceeds will be given to the Coaches vs. Cancer program, which has helped raise over $70 million to fight cancer since 1993.

2. STOP DAY
Okay, this isn't exactly a festivity, but it's important: A STOP (Stop Throwing Out Pollutants) Day will be held at the Montauk recycling center on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Radiac Research Corporation will be on hand to collect and dispose household hazardous waste, oil-based paints, stale fuel, chemical aerosols, paint thinners and the like.

3. FILM SERIES
"Leisurama-A Documentary" will be shown at the Montauk Library on Saturday at 7 p.m. The Friends of the Montauk Library are presenting the film from the library's archives.
4. PANCAKE BREAKFAST
The weekly pancake breakfast is back at Springs Fire Department. Starting on Sunday morning at 7, breakfasts are $8 for adults, $7 for seniors and $5 for kids ages 6 and under. Just get there before 11 a.m. for the hearty meal.
5. FAMILY FUN DAY
The Kiwanis Club of East Hampton presents its 15th annual Family Fun Day at the American Legion #419 in Amagansett on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Pony rides, face painting live music and food are all apart of the festivities. Best of all admission is just $5.
