5 Events Happening This Week

From school budget work sessions to free movies -- what you should know is happening this week.

Here are some important, some fun events happening this week across the Town of East Hampton. Let us know how you are spending the week or if there's a particular event that you think deserves mention.

1. The District will host its of three work sessions in preparation of the 2012-13 budget on Monday. The meeting begins in the school library at 6:30 p.m.

2. A budget work session will be held at the on Tuesday evening at 7:30. The board will discuss the upcoming budget, but there will not be any public participation.

3. It's Oscar season and this free film screening takes it back to 1989. "," won Best Picture that year, and it will be shown at the on Tuesday night at 5 p.m.

4. will host a on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. Volunteers are needed for the set up from 4 to 5 p.m. and clean-up from 7 to 7:30 p.m. The dinner is sponsored by the East Hampton Clericus.

5. The Friends of the have sponsored a free movie night on Thursday, during which "" will be shown. It's a comedy with Don Cheadle as a straight-laced FBI agent who must work in an Irish town with a more laid-back police sergeant, played by Brendan Gleeson.
