Stony Hill Stables in Amagansett hosted their second fundraiser on Saturday night, June 29, bringing in over $45,000, $10,000 over their set goal.
The scholarships will go to sponsoring local riders otherwise unable to afford their sport. Last year, during the first scholarship term, seven riders were selected through an application process to receive grants, and the foundation hopes to add more. On average, scholarships can cost up to $20,000 dollars.
