2012 East End Fireworks Guide

The Montauk fireworks show has been postponed to Thursday, July 5.

A fireworks show draws a crowd from near and far. As it turns out, on the East End, it's not just the Fourth of July when there's an opportunity to see a display of lights in the sky. Explosive pyrotechnics pop-off from Montauk to Westhampton all summer long, so you'll have plenty of chances to catch a show.

July 4

The Montauk fireworks show has been postponed until Thursday, July 5.

Montauk: The only fireworks show on the Fourth of July in East Hampton Town, the sponsors this annual event, which starts at 9 p.m. Set off from Umbrella Beach, about one-third west of town, the show can be viewd from any ocean beach. Donations accepted at the chamber office. Raindate: July 5

Westhampton: The Westhampton Country Club puts on a fireworks display, but you don't have to be a member to enjoy the show; they are visible from various locations throughout the village. Showtime: around 9 p.m.

Greenport: The carnival's in town from July 3 through 7 and fireworks are part of the show tonight. The show starts at 10 p.m., at the Greenport School. Repeates July 7.

July 6

Southampton: The Fresh Air Fund will hold its 25th annual "American Picnic," at 1030 Meadow Lane, starting at 7 p.m., with fireworks by Grucci later in the evening. The show is orchestrated to patriotic tunes and is viewable over the Shinnecock Bay. Raindate: July 8.

July 7

Amagansett: The holds a private show, starting at 9:15 p.m., which non-members can catch from Fresh Pond Beach.

Riverhead: Not just cars at the Riverhead Raceway — fireworks start at 9 p.m. RAIN DATE: July 14

Greenport: A fireworks show will end the carnival's run in Greenport, starting at 10 p.m., at the

Shelter Island: Show begins after dark at Crescent Beach, near restaurant and hotel. Click here to contribute.

Jamesport: Jamesport Firemen’s Carnival will be held at the George Young Community Center from July 10 to July 14, between 5 p.m. and midnight. A fireworks show will help close out the festivities on July 14.

July 21

East Hampton: The Clamshell Foundation's annual Geat Bonac Fireworks Show over Three Mile Harbor benefits the foundation's programs on the East End. Show starts between 9:20 and 9:30 p.m.

Aug. 25

Riverhead: More fireworks at the Riverhead Raceway before the summer's over. Show starts at 9 p.m. RAIN DATE: Sept. 1

Sept. 1

East Hampton: fireworks will close out the summer on Labor Day weekend. The puts on the display through donations. RAIN DATE: Sept. 2

Correction: The Clamshell Foundation's fireworks are not a benefit for the Max for a Cure Foundation. A seperate benefit is held that same night that does benefit Max for a Cure, which is being held at the Duke residence. WCBS News anchor Chris Wragge is the evening's honorary co-chair, along with Rose and John Franco.

well after the town board meeting last night the way i see it is the whole town is affected andRead More everyting and everyweek is some one getting away with out paying , we have familys of teenagers sharing rooms with there parnets and siblngs , cause the cost of living , hmmm but no matter where you go it cost money , teachers have there work cut out for them if they have to spend 50 dollars to buy stuff its there choice , well what it boils down to is the childern parnetns rather drive cars and have nice clothes and fancy jelws than spend 5 or 1o dollars to pay for pens for there kids to go to schoo.also i dont feel the familys see what education really is is a free babysitting service thats my feelings ,

no. i've put up signs, left phone number in neighbors mailboxes and searched nearby roads by bike.Read More maybe she will show up at someone's house when she gets hungry. thanks for asking.
