1,200 Pounds of Litter Carted Off Napeague Beach

Organized by Citizens for Access Rights, the clean-up was a success.

Over 1,200 pounds of litter were carted off of the beach at Napeague on Saturday when members of Citizens for Access Rights got together for a . Among the garbage were two hypodermic needles, an entire truck tire and a lot of pressure treated wood. The group, which to a lawsuit from property owners who claim they own that stretch of beach, will also be holding a fundraiser on May 21 at .
