Friday, July 5th & Saturday, July 6th Children/Family Program, Events and Activities!

Friday, July 5th:

  • NORTH SEA CARNIVAL, Rides for all ages, families, 7:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m. (Location: North Sea Fireman's Memorial Field,Noyac Road, North Sea - Southampton)
  • CMEE (Children's Museum of the East End), Pizza and Pajama Night @ Madoo, We will be bringing Pizza & Pajama Night to Madoo Conservancy in Sagaponack.  This magical 2.5 acre garden will be the setting for relaxing family evening. Children will enjoy exploring the grounds and participating in a scavenger hunt (Location: 631.537.8250 - 376 Bridgehampton Turnpike, Bridgehampton) 6:00 p.m.
  • Rogers Memorial Library, Songs and Stories, We will be sharing our favorite stories, songs and rhymes, Ages Birth +, 10:15 a.m. & 11:15 a.m., Registration is required. (Location: 91 Coopers Farm Road, Southampton - 631.283.0774)
  • Rogers Memorial Library, Fun Flicks and Crafts, Come watch some of your favorite picture books on film and other short flicks while creating crafts. An assortment of different art activities will be available to choose from. Just drop in and stay as long or as short as you like! No registration Required.   • Hampton Library, Play with Your Food: Worms & Dirt, You might think "worms and dirt…YUCK!", but not these worms and dirt. Learn how to make a fun treat that looks gross but tastes great, Ages 8+, 11:00 a.m. (Location: 2478 Main Street, Bridgehampton - 631.537.0015)
  • Amagansett Library, Shake, Rattle and Roll, Constructive play encourages early literacy skills. Play time is followed by circle time: song and rhymes, Ages Birth-3 Years Old, 10:00 a.m.
  • The three Little Pigs, In this version, BB (a reformed big bad wolf with allergies), sells real estate to the new pigs in town. Set in the Great Northwest Woods in the Hamptons, this marionette show features hand-carved marionettes, musical numbers and lots of laughs,To avoid calamity, please call ahead to reserve your spot at 631-725-4193.Cost: $12 for everyone, $10 for grandparents and members and $5 for children under three, (Location: Sag Harbor on Rte. 114 and East Union Street, behind Christ Episcopal Church in the parish hall, lower level) Families, 11:00 a.m.

  • Hayground School Farmers' Market, Families, 3:00 p.m.-6:30 p.m. (Location: 151 Mitchell Lane, Bridgehampton)
  • Westhampton Free Library, Ice Cube Painting, Have you ever painted with ice? Here is your chance to try this cool project! Registration is required: 631.288.3335 X 112  kids@westhamptonlibrary.net, Ages 3-5 Years Olds, 10:30 a.m. (Location: 7 Library Avenue, Westhampton)
  • Westhampton Free Library, Craft-A-Palooza Feeling crafty? Drop in and make as many crafts as you can! Ages 5-9 Years Old, 4:30 p.m. (Location: 7 Library Ave, Westhampton Beach)
  • Amagansett Fine Arts Festival, A festival of independent artists will be held at the American Legion in Amagansett.  In addition to fine art paintings, drawings and prints will be sculpture and non-functional crafts. This event is free to the public, and there will be no admission fee. Free onsite parking will be available, Mom, Dad, Families, 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. (Location: East Hampton American Legion, 15 Montauk Highway, Amagansett)

    Saturday, July 6th:

    • The Devon Yacht Club will feature fireworks , just after dusk.  Non-members can watch from Fresh Pond Beach. For more information, call (631) 267-6340, Amagansett
    • The Sag Harbor Yacht Club, fireworks are on Saturday, fireworks start approximately 9:30 p.m. The show can be watched from Havens Beach, Marine Park, Long Wharf, or from the harbor. For more information, call 631.725.0567, Sag Harbor
    • CMEE (Children's Museum of the East End), Lego Club, child can construct works of art using the thousands of Legos at The Museum.  To help CMEE continue to build this program, they are looking for Lego donations!  (Location: 631.537.8250 - 376 Bridgehampton Turnpike, Bridgehampton) 10:00 a.m.
    • Amagansett Library, Summer Reading Club Launch Party! For Families, PETTING ZOO: CHICKS, DUCKS, FROGS & ANIMALS  Jason from Green Meadow Farms helps us launch our Summer Reading Program - DIG IN - with his hands-on petting zoo of frogs, bugs, ducks, chickens, bunnies, hedgehogs, and more! After the event, sign-up for a summer of reading and prizes!   Register in advance: 631.267.3810, 11:00 a.m.

    • Hampton Library, Summer Kick Off Event: Frogs, Bugs & Animals, Kick off the summer right and join us as we welcome Jason and his friends from the Green Meadows Farm. This hands on program features reptiles, frogs, bugs, fluffy chickens, baby farm animals, bunnies and hedgehogs. All animals can be safely touched and are displayed in colorful "petting boxes."     • Westhampton Free Library, Lego Game Fest, Do you love to play with LEGOS?
