Long Island indie/pop duo Eastern Phoebes have just self-released their new album Lion Gardiner. Recorded in the group's lakeside cottage between December 2011 and June 2012, the album features twelve original songs, with artwork by Southampton artist Andy Drake.
Envisioned as a "rambling pop-opera about history, love, paranoia, death, hope, and geography," Lion Gardiner can be downloaded via the group's Bandcamp page with the option to "name your price."
Comprised of songwriter/producer Ry Smith and vocalist/wellness guru Meg Bayley, Eastern Phoebes have digitally released four EPs and two albums over the past two years, to both regional and national critical acclaim. The duo also performs live around Long Island and NYC.
