Getting Hitched: East Hampton Patch Editor Says "Yes!"

Wedding bells are ringing for East Hampton Patch editor Taylor Kari Vecsey and Nicholas Bryan Hemby.

The couple, who first met officially through friends in 2007, recall having crossed paths at a fundraiser years earlier at the Hampton Day School.

Vecsey and Hemby, who live in Water Mill, share a love born of friendship; they began dating in 2008 and share a passion for giving back to others through their work with the Bridgehampton Fire Department, where both are volunteers and Hemby is a captain and emergency medical technician.

Vecsey, whose parents, Joan and Peter F. Vecsey, reside in Manhattan and on Shelter Island, runs East Hampton Patch, and formerly wrote for The East Hampton Star and New York Post.

Hemby's parents are Doris and Cordis Hemby, who divide their time between Bridgehampton and Fuquay-Varina, NC.

Hemby, the owner of Greenlife Solutions, a South Fork company that offers consulting and energy savings solutions, including spray foam insulation and LED lighting, also owns Hamptons Concierge, one of the first concierge services in the Hamptons.

This will be the first marriage for both; no wedding date has yet been set.

Unbelievable. So much for majority rule. The board forgets who they work for. They made a mockery ofRead More the democratic process. What they did was nothing different then totalitarian rule. They should be relived of their duty for not representing the people and supporting the majority rule. One can only imagine what other crooked decision making may be taking place that is contrary to the people's wishes. Shame on them! The mayer is a coward who forgets what side his bred is buttered on. The majority got him his job along with the other councilmen and they chose to turn their back on the ones who gave them a job. Bunch of arrogant, out of touch with the people, conceded morons is what they are.
