Community Update

Rob Corcoran, who teaches golf at Poxabogue, shot a record setting 61, nine below par, last week in the final round of a professional tournament at the Rockaway Hunting Club, in Lawrence, L.I.
Corcoran came in second place at the tournament, having shot a 73 in the first round. Corcoran's 61 came a few days before Phil Mickelson shot a 66 to win the British Open. - - William Sherman
