Flags Fly at Half-Staff Wednesday

Your guide to what's happening in the community.

Good morning, East Hampton.

— Flags will fly at half-staff today in honor of the 30th anniversary of the bombing of the military barracks in Beirut, Lebanon, in which 241 American servicemen were killed. Twenty-four of those killed were New York residents. Gov. Andrew Cuomo ordered the flags be lowered at all state buildings.

— The Rose Brucia Educational Foundation is blogging daily with safety tips as part of New York's Stranger Safety Awareness Week. Worth checking out.

— Did you see our House of the Week? Designed by architect Greg Zwirko, the Marine Boulevard house is set on top of the dune with an unobstructed 180-degree panoramic view of the beach and ocean. Looks beautiful, if you have $6.95 million to spend.
