Unbelievable. So much for majority rule. The board forgets who they work for. They made a mockery ofRead More the democratic process. What they did was nothing different then totalitarian rule. They should be relived of their duty for not representing the people and supporting the majority rule. One can only imagine what other crooked decision making may be taking place that is contrary to the people's wishes. Shame on them! The mayer is a coward who forgets what side his bred is buttered on. The majority got him his job along with the other councilmen and they chose to turn their back on the ones who gave them a job. Bunch of arrogant, out of touch with the people, conceded morons is what they are.

There are other possibilities for things you no longer need and are in good condition: try donatingRead More them to any of the many thrift shops - ARF, Retreat, LVIS, etc. Or look for community charitable yard sales that use the proceeds as donations. Or if really good merchandise, you can try consignment shops.

> If we want our students to become creative problem-solvers... That does not seem to be a topRead More priority, unfortunately. Already in kindergarten, the main emphasis for my son is on following directions. In pre-K in Europe a lot of children are taught the basics of logic. Don't count on this ever happening in the US. For an elaborate explanation of why this is so I recommend this free ebook by Iserbyt: http://www.deliberatedumbingdown.com/

I commend you Congressman Bishop for the proposed legislation and I recommend that you continue toRead More push this legislation again and again. It is a shame that our government continues to handout billions of dollars to companies that are making billions on their own and don't need a public subsidy. Most importantly, drilling for oil instead of investing in new forms of energy is a clear example of the backward thinking of these corporate giants who can't see past tomorrow and are only interested in serving their stockholders and not the national interest. The subsidy does not go towards providing for our national defense. The US military stocks the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to cover our national defense needs. The Republicans in Congress are all owned by the oil companies, That is why you can't get your legislation passed. The Republican Party is the party of the business interest in this country and nothing else. Keep pushing this legislation and others like it.
