Montauk's Navy Beach hosted a FEED Projects pop-up shop on Sunday, together with Moet Ice Imperial and FEED co-founder Lauren Bush.
The pop-up shop was busy all day, with guests buying FEED items (bags, t-shirts, scarves, bracelets) that each provide a certain number of meals through the UN's World Food Programme.
Alongside the FEED pop-up was Lauren Pierce for Calypso pop-up featuring items from Lauren Bush's newly launched colorful collection of sarongs, tunics and bags all hand-made by women in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
A private luncheon was also held at Navy Beach honoring FEED Projects and Lauren Bush. Guests included Lauren's fiancee David Lauren (son of designer Ralph Lauren), designer Cynthia Rowley and her husband Bill Powers, socialites Fabiola Bercasa, Annelise Peterson, and Lesley Schulhof, King & Grove's Ben Pundole and his girlfriend DJ Chelsea Leyland, Fabian Basabe, Jonathan Morr, and Navy Beach owners Frank & Kristina Davis.
Several of the VIP guests arrived at the restaurant on a gorgeous Riva yacht, courtesy of the Ferreti Group. The afternoon also featured live music from Suffolk County Legislator Jay Schneiderman and fellow musician Alfredo Merat, followed by a sunset set by Winston Irie, who will be returning to play again on Sundays Aug. 7 and 21.
The lunch featured a four course menu with some of the restaurant's favorite lunch items, and flowing Moet Ice Imperial for all. Guests were also gifted a limited edition FEED 10 Moet Navy Beach Picnic Bag filled with a bottle of Moet Ice Imperial and two of the chic white plastic Moet Ice glasses as well as a book from Riva. The limited edition bags (sold without the bottle, glasses and book) are available for sale at Navy Beach for $30 while supplies last.
Navy Beach is continuing its partnership with FEED through the end of August by selling FEED 5 bracelets ($15) and by allowing guests at the restaurant to make donations directly to FEED by adding on to their bill.
