You Can Help the Trustees Clean-Up the Beaches

Litter clean-ups scheduled for Thursday and Friday.

While it may not feel quite like spring yet, the warmer months are fast approaching and that means it's time for a spring clean-up on the beaches.

The East Hampton Town Trustees are holding beach clean-ups at Louse Point and Lazy Point beaches on Thursday and Friday, starting at 8 a.m.

Anyone can lend a hand. If people can't make it there on Thursday and Friday, they are encouraged to go down to the beaches anytime between now and then to help clean-up.

"Lazy Point is a mess," Trustee Deborah Klughers said. "Louse point is looking pretty good — but can use some TLC."

The Trustees with assistance from town workers, fishermen and women, and other volunteers will be at Lazy Point starting Thursday morning until they are completely finished. Then they'll head over to Louse Point.
