Would You Like a Moratorium on Construction?

Some Westhampton residents want construction to cease so they can enjoy their summer. Do you?

Some residents in Westhampton's most well-known neighborhood are called for a moratorium on construction in the summer.

Dune Road homeowners say that they are bombarded with the noise from construction sites seven days from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. One resident, Suzanne Oxenhorn told Westhampton-Hampton Bays Patch, "We are very lucky to live here, but these developers are very selfish and inconsiderate. She finds the noise intolerable, and also fears for the safety of anyone on the roadway due to the many construction vehicles parked on the road.

Are East Hampton Town residents bothered by construction in the summer, as well? Would you like to see a moratorium on construction here? Do you think it will fly in Westhampton? Tell us in the comments below.
