Children at the East Hampton Day Care Learning Center got a special visit from educators with the Wellness Foundation of East Hampton Thursday morning for a lesson on local farming and the joy of eating fruits and vegetables.

A local organic farmer donning a ukulele led the group of toddlers in song and dance, teaching the kids how fruits and vegetables are grown and introducing them to new and enticing food.

The day care group sat with the musician and counselors for about a half an hour learning about the food grown on local farms, before digging into a delicious snack of watermelon, grapes, blueberries, and other fruits.
