Sag Harbor Police Log: Woman Left Kids Home Alone

Sag Harbor Village Police Department arrests for the week of Jan. 24 through Jan. 30:
Endangering the Welfare of a Child
• Zoli Zhagui, 24, of Sag Harbor, was arrested Jan. 24 at 10:41 p.m. and charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor. Police said Zhagui left a 7-year-old and 4-year-old home alone while she went to work in Bridgehampton. According to the arrest report, Zhagui told police she left the Cuffee Drive home at 8:30 p.m. Another occupant of the house reported arriving home at 9:50 p.m. and finding the children alone. Zhagui was booked at police headquarters and released on an appearance ticket. Child Protective Services was notified.
Aggravated Harassment in the Second Degree
• Ronald M. Westcott, 47, of Hampton Bays, was arrested Jan. 25 at 9:52 p.m. at Southampton Town police headquarters in Hampton Bays and charged with aggravated harassment in the second degree, a misdemeanor, Sag Harbor police said. According to the arrest report, Westcott was picked up at his home by town police at the request of the Sag Harbor police after he made harassing phone calls to a victim’s place of work in Sag Harbor and showed up there.
