Revolutionary Re-Enactment Marches Into East Hampton

The historical society set up an eighteenth century camp at Mulford Farm.

The presented a of a traditional Long Island regimen during the 1775 at on Saturday. Familiar faces delighted kids and parents with depictions of life in Colonial times. As part of the 3rd NY Regiment Brigade of the American Revolution, there was cooking demonstrations and musket firings to militia marching and hands-on herbal remedy making. Situated right off Main Street in East Hampton, the militia men (and women) even stopped traffic. At night, participants could explore the camp by firelight and join in a barn dance.
