Police Logs: Maidstone Employee Took Champagne, Linens

The following information was supplied by the East Hampton Village Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate guilt.

The following was released for the week of Nov. 7:

Mario G. Colon, 42, of the Bronx, was arrested after he allegedly was found with items that belonged to the , where he worked last month. said they were called down to the club on Oct. 23 after Colon and another employee allegedly took 10 bottles of Champagne, valued at a total of $100, silverware, worth $100, about $50 in linens and about $20 in cleaning supplies.

The items were found in the car, after the police were called. Their boss did not want to press charges at the time, but the employees were told they were not allowed at the club again.

However, Colon was arrested on Nov. 4, though police did not indicate what occured in between. He was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and petty larceny, both misdemeanors. Catherine A. Cahill released him on $240 bail.
