Russell Simmon's 12th benefit brought out the likes of Mary J. Blige, Edward Norton and Soledad O'Brien.

Russell Simmons joined his brothers the artist Danny Simmons and the hip-hop artist Joseph "Rev. Run" Simmons and the rest of his extended family to host the 12th Annual Art for Life Benefit at the hip-hop mogul's East Hampton home Saturday evening.

The star-studded soiree honored stars singer Mary J. Blige and the actor Edward Norton, and featured a special performance by Jennifer Hudson. CNN correspondent Soledad O'Brien hosted the fund-raiser for Simmons' foundation. The guest list included Star Jones, Gayle King, Kimora Lee Simmons and her boyfriend, the actor, Djimon Hounsou and Dr. Oz, among other celebs and Hamptons socialites.

Guests arrived at the Simmons home donning sun-kissed saffron and red jade for the Zen of Giving theme, which included a silent auction featuring pieces from nationally renowned artists and auction lots donated by various celebrities.
