Library Children's Wing Construction on Track

Concrete poured, steel ordered — all on schedule.

Just a few months in and construction on the 's new children's wing is moving along nicely, according to library director .

The concrete was poured last week, Fabiszak said. The forms were taken off the concrete this morning and are being coated, he reported. The steel has been ordered and is being manufactured. The elevator pit has been waterproofed.

"Everything's going great. We're on track to be closed in well before the winter — the weather will not be a factor," Fabiszak said.

The date of completion is on target to be before Memorial Day 2013.
