Jamie Foxx Set To Appear at Lewis Benefit Next Month

Former NFL player Eugene Profit will be honored.

Grammy and Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx will appear at the Reginald F. Lewis Foundation Gala luncheon planned for next month in East Hampton.

The foundation, named for the African American lawyer, entrepreneur and philanthropist, will honor former NFL player and investment manager Eugene A. Profit on June 25 at the Lewis Estate.

Profit, the CEO of Profit Investment Management, is being honored for building the company from $100,000 to $2 billion in assets under management.

CBS2 News Anchor Maurice DuBois will emcee the gala and DJ M.O.S. will get the crowd pumped.

Lewis’s daughter, actress Leslie Lewis Sword, will chair the fund-raiser for the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History & Culture (known as The Lewis) in Baltimore.

“We are thrilled to have the talented Jamie Foxx joining us,” said Sword in a statement. “He's such a superstar, and adds the perfect level of Hollywood glam to our Wall Street crowd.”

The foundation will also present the Millennium Member Award to Harvard Law
School Bussey Professor Emeritus Frank E. A. Sander for his role in Lewis’s career.
