Riverhead's Main Street Hit by Cash Mob

In an effort to spring a shot of adrenaline into downtown during the winter season over three dozen "cash mobbers" swarmed upon downtown Riverhead Saturday morning, with $20 in hand to spend at local businesses. The organized effort was welcomed by local shop owners and local consumers alike.

Fox Business: Wölffer Succession Offers Business Owners a Valuable Lesson

The accidental death of Christian Wölffer on Dec. 31, 2008, at the height of the recession, could have meant the downfall of his Sagaponack vineyard and stables, but Wölffer smartly took on an asset manager just two years earlier to ensure the business would be self sustaining, according to a Fox Business report.

Former Indian Cove Restaurant to Open As Cowfish

Hampton Bays Rumba owner David Hersh is in the middle of making his dream to bring a new, one-of-a-kind restaurant to Hampton Bays — He's sinking nearly a million dollars into it.

Hersh recently leased the Indian Cove Restaurant, located on Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays, and is in the process of renovating it with a goal to re-open it under the name Cowfish in April.

The new business will feature not only a children's playground where parent's can sit and drink wine while their children play, but affordable dishes.

Sag Harbor Native, Self-Defense Expert, to Appear on National T.V.

Tracy Vega, a native of Sag Harbor and current Florida resident, runs a self-defense program with her husband called Simple Self Defense Program. Meant only to help women get and stay on the defensive - escaping from an incident, not retaliating - the program, and the Vegas, will be featured Lifetime's "The Balancing Act" at the end of the month.
