Cops Search for Burglary Suspects From Air in Springs

A Suffolk County police helicopter is helping East Hampton Town Police search for two burglary suspects in Springs Tuesday afternoon.

Town Police Chief Ed Ecker confirmed a chopper and the county k-9 unit were called in to assist.

It was not immediately clear where and when the alleged burglary took place.

A chopper was circling neighborhoods in Springs sometime after 1 p.m., according to eyewitnesses.

Ecker did not comment as to when or if the k-9 unit had arrived.
