Baker Inn Named 'Most Excellent Inn'

in East Hampton Village has earned the distinction of being named "Most Excellent Inn," by one of the most trusted names in international luxury travel guides.

Condé Nast Johansens, the company behind the Condé Nast Publications Ltd., announced the winners of the 2012 Awards for Excellence earlier this month. Winners were chosen as the top properties through the Americas, Atlantic, Caribbean and Pacific Islands.

"The winners were selected from an exclusive collection of luxury, boutique hotels, inns and resorts throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, and the Atlantic, Caribbean and Pacific Islands," according to a statement from Condé Nast. There are over 28 categories, including Most Excellent Resort, Most Excellent Hotel, Most Excellent Eco Resort, and Most Excellent Romantic Hideaway.

The Baker House has been recognized as one of the most luxurious hotels by travel and leisure magazines before. Once a residential estate that dates to 1648, it has been renovated and each room is elegantly decorated, has air conditioning, a minibar, flat-screen television, and lavish bathrooms.
