PHOTOS: Montauk Lighthouse Lit Up on Saturday Night
A huge crowd fills the Montauk Lighthouse grounds to witness 3,777 bulbs illuminated.
On Saturday night, the Montauk Lighthouse was strung with 3,777 Christmas lights to prepare for The Rev. Peter Anthony Libasci to flip the switch.
Emcee Joe Gaviola spoke about the current effort, spearheaded by Montauk Historical Society's Betsey and Dick White, to have the Lighthouse declared a National Landmark during the fourth annual lighting.
The lighthouse will be lit until Jan. 1 of 2012.
