Andy Cohen Talks Pop Culture at BookHampton

Bravo's talk show host will be on hand this Saturday for a book signing.

Late night's new king will take pop culture gab from Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live" to East Hampton's on Saturday.

Andy Cohen, the creator of reality TV's "Real Housewives" series and the host of his own talk show, will discuss pop culture and his New York Times bestseller starting at 8 p.m.

Cohen, who has a house in Sag Harbor, is on a book tour for Most Talkative: Stories from the Front Lines of Pop Culture, in which he talks about his days working with Susan Lucci and Dan Rather, and more recently the Housewives like breakout star Bethenny Frankl.

BookHampton owner Charline Spektor is excited about the talk with Cohen, who went from being a producer to being in the spotlight.

"Andy Cohen is certainly one of the most successful television producers of this decade," Spektor said. "His "Real Housewives" franchise tapped into the zeitgeist of see-yourself television; and everyone we know has watched "Top Chef," she said.

"As a tv-host, his talk show "Watch What Happens" has been compared to Johnny Carson, not bad...For the past year our East End neighbors have been asking us to 'try to get Andy Cohen in for an evening'; so we are thrilled to have him join us on Saturday evening," Spektor said.
