#77 — Don't Blink or You'll Miss the Shortest St. Paddy's Parade

The Am O'Gansett parade kicks off the extended St. Patrick's holiday.

If you just can't wait until St. Patrick's Day to muster up the luck of the Irish, have no fear because the is near.

Some jovial folks in Amagansett have put together what promises to be another rousing rendition of what could be the shortest parade ever on Saturday afternoon. They love saying it starts at 1:36 p.m., in front of the on Main Street, and ends five minutes later at 1:41.

This is only the fourth annual parade, but its already becoming a favorite for those who just can't wait for the much larger Montauk parade on March 25

There's sure to be some surprises thrown in the mix of fire trucks and local celebrities.

"Bring your kids, bring someone else's kids or just bring yourself, just don't be late or you may miss it," the organizers say in the press release.
